Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)

If you would like to talk to a peer for support after experiencing a traumatic incident, please contact us at 717-708-2746 and ask to speak to a CISM member. The call center is available 24/7. Your mental health matters. As a first responder, you have a high probability of experiencing a traumatic event while performing your duties. These incidents may cause you to contend with emotional and physical reactions to the trauma. Although these responses are normal, remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! You have a team of peer supporters ready to help. The CISM team is trained to help mitigate the impact of a critical incident and to assist personnel in recovering as quickly as possible from the stress associated with an event.

We offer our monetary support to those departments who request the monies to implement positive change in their police station/community. The James Biever Police-Community Alliance recognizes that not all good deeds are noticed. We want to change that! Do you have someone in mind that deserves to have recognition for their good work? A police officer, fire fighter, community member? This individual goes above and beyond for the betterment of their community. They make a difference in another's life by undertaking self-less acts without anticipation of reward, recognition, praise or personal gain.
